A man was killed and two others were injured in an explosion at a storeroom of Jhenaidah Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Shafiq, a resident of Kastshagra village in the Sadar upazila.
Members of fire service and police rescued the injured after the blast and took them to Sadar Hospital where doctors announced one of them dead, said officer-in-charge of Jhenaidah Sadar police station Sheikh Md Sohel Rana.
District public prosecutor advocate Ismail Hossain said hearing a sound of explosion around 1pm they rushed to the storeroom and found everything in the room damaged.
Deputy Commissioner Md Mujibur Rahman there was a gas cylinder in the room and it might have exploded during renovation work.
