One youth was killed and 35 including women and children were injured in a clash between the supporters of ward member Akhter Miah and Karim Miah at Sibla village Kalma union under Austagram upazila of Kishoreganj district on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Md. Tajul Islam (32), son of Akhter Miah at Sibla village in Austagram Upazila.
Injured person was admitted to local health complex and Juhurul Islam Medical College Hospital.
Austgram Police Station Officer-In-Charge Kamrul Islam said that, on information police rushed to the spot and arrested two people named Haroon and Selim in this connection.
The dead body was sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection with Austagram Police Station.
