Chittagong Bureau :
One person was killed and three others were injured in a road accident in city’s Shah Amanat Bridge area under Bakalia thana yesterday morning.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Selim, 50, son of late Mohammad Yusuf, hailed from Patiya upazila of the district.
The injured persons were Syed Ahmed, 50, Mohammad Sagar, 28 and Jafar, 35.
Mohammad Mohsin, Officer in Charge (OC) of Bakalia thana, said four people were injured when a Chittagong city-bound passenger bus dashed a motorcycle at crossing near Shah Amanat Bridge after the bus driver lost control over the steering.
The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the duty doctors declared Selim dead, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Pankaj Barua of CMCH police outpost.
