Customs officials arrested one person and seized 10 gold bars weighing over one kilogram from his baggage at Chittagong Shah Amanat International (CSAIA) Airport yesterday morning.
The arrested was identified as Nuruddin, 35, hailed from Fatikchari upazila of the district.
Customs officials said Nuruddin was detained when he was crossing the green channel of the Airport without any declaration.
He came from Dubai by Fly Dubi Airlines flight FS-0589 around 8.45am. The customs officials challenged him and recovered 10 gold bars after searching his hand baggage. The seized gold worth about Tk 46 lakh.
