One held with six gold bars at HSIA

Customs officials arrested a man along with six gold bars, weighing 600 grams, from Shahjalal International Airport here on Friday afternoon.
The arrestee was identified as Sourav Mina.

said Sourav landed at the airport from Chattogram by a flight of Regent Airways flight No-RX-787 from Thailand around 5:20pm.
On information, a team of customs intelligence officials detained him while he was crossing the domestic terminal. After interrogation, the passenger informed that the gold bars were hidden in his rectum.
Later, he was made to take juice, foods and water whereby the gold bars worth Tk 30lakh came out of the rectum, said the official. The gold bars were deposited with Dhaka Customs house. A case was filed.
