UNB, Chittagong :
Police arrested a man in possession of a light gun (LG) and two rounds of bullet from Mujaffarpur area in Hathajari upazila on Sunday.
The arrestee was identified as Alauddin Prokash Alam,30, son of late Abdul Hafez, a resident of the village.
Abul Kalam Azad, assistant sub-inspector of Hathajari Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Alauddin in the morning.
Later, police recovered an LG and two rounds of bullet after searching his body.
The arrestee had been involved in snatching and robbery for long, said police.
A case was filed against Alauddin under the Arms Act.
