Police in a drive arrested a man with fake currency worth about Taka three thousand from Molovipara area under Doublemooring thana in the city on Wednesday night.
The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Anwar Hossain, 39, hailed from Titash upazila of Comilla district.
A team of the Doublemooring thana police conducted the raid in the area and nabbed Anwar while he was waiting for exchanging the fake notes at about 11.30 pm.
