Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 800 grams of heroin from Chapainawabganj sadar upazila Friday night.
The arrested person is Md. Abdul Khaleq alias Jony, 30 of Rasiknagar Babupur under Shibganj upazila in the district.
RAB said, acting on a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in Moharajpur Fielder Hat area under Baroghoria union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila around 9.55pm and arrested Abdul Malek with the heroin.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Chapainawabganj sadar thana with a case.
