Customs Intelligence officials seized 8.4 kgs gold and arrested a person in this connection at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday. The arrestee was identified as Md Azimuddin,25, son of Chenu Miah of Feni district. Sources at Customs Intelligence at the airport said Azimuddin came here by a flight of Fly Dubai Airlines from Dubai around 10:40 am. Acting on a tip-off, a team of the intelligence officials challenged Azimuddin when he was crossing the green channel and recovered 72 pieces gold bars from his possession. The market value of the gold was estimated at about Tk 4.20 crore. –UNB, Dhaka
