Members of Chattogram district police in a drive arrested an alleged female drug trader with 70,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from Raipur village under Anwara upazila of the district on Monday. The arrested was identified as Kamrunnahar, 35, wife of Faridul Alam, of Raipur village under the upazila.
“On a tip-off, a team of Anwara thana police conducted a raid in the area and nabbed Kamrunnahar from her husband’s residence around 5 am,” Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Anwara thana Mohammad Dulal Mohamud said, adding that the police team also recovered the contraband drugs from the house.
