UNB, Benapole :
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a young man along with $ 28,000 and some cameras from the International Passenger Terminal at Benapole Check Post on Sunday night.
The arrestee was identified as Amir Hossain, 25, son of Anwar Hossain, a resident of Sorikori village in Choddogram upazila of Comilla district.
Liakat Ali, acting captain of BGB-26’s Benapole camp, said tipped off, they challenged Amir coming from India at the International Passenger Terminal about 8.30pm.
Later, they recovered $ 28,000 US and some cameras after searching his body and bags.
A case was filed with Benapole Port Police Station in this connection.
