Chittagong District Police in a raidarrested a drug trader with 2,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from Prembazar area under Banskhali upazila of the district this noon.
The arrested was identified as Nurul Alam, 35, hailed from Baharchara
village under Taqnaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.
On a tip-off, a team of the police raided at a Chittagong-bound local
passengers’ bus in the area at about 2 pm and nabbed Nurul with thecontraband drugs, Sapan Kumar Mazumdar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of BanskhaliThana , district police sources said.
A case was filed in this connection.
