Police rounded up one drug sellers from Customs crossing in city under Bandar thana on Tuesday night.
Police recovered 19 kgs ganza from his possession. The drug peddler identified as Md. Osman Ali. Sub Inspector of Bandar thana police Enam Ahmed told that drug peddler Osman came from Comilla with these intoxicated herbal drugs and came over Customs crossing aimed at delivery these drugs to the buyers.
Osman was carrying two gunny sacks alongwith him. Acting on secret information, police rounded up him alongwith these gunny sacks filled in ganza. The approximated cost of these herbal drugs about Tk.1.90 lakh, sources said.
Detained drug peddler hails from Patiya upazila in south chittagong and son of Sagir Ahmed and he is residing in Jharnapara under double morring thana in city since long.
A case under Narcotics Act was lodged with the concerned thana, sources said.
