A special team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Tuesday arrested a person from Tangail in connection with the killing of Md Nasir Hossain. The arrested person has been identified as Sharif alias Chokha.
DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman said that DB members conducted a drive in Tangail and arrested Sharif in the afternoon. However, he did not say more about the arrest.

Nasir was beaten and hacked to death by some local miscreants as he protested stalking of his cousin in the city’s Bhasantek area on Saturday.
