Police on Monday arrested a man for allegedly violating a physically challenged girl at Konapara village in Sadullapur upazila here on Friday.
The arrestee was identified as Babul Sarkar, son of Nazmul Haque of the area.
Masud Rana, officer-in-charge of Sadullapur Police Station, said Babul allured the handicapped girl with Tk 10 and took her to a bridge in the area and violated her there on Friday evening.
Victim’s father Rayhan Mia filed a case against Babul with the police station on Sunday.
Police sent the victim to Gaibandha Jila Hospital for medical test.
