Coast Guards n the Bay seized a engine boat alongwith a drug peddler from outer berth of Chittagong Port while trafficking about 1.50 lakh pieces of Yaba .
Acting on secret information, Coast guard forced conducted raid in the outer berth of Chittagong Port at midnight on Monday.Coast Guard East Zone commander Capt Shahidul Islam told that these yabas were brought from CoxsBazar tbrough sea route and tried to enter in Sandwip channel.
The coast guard forces confined the boat in Sandwip channel and recovered these yaba and detained the drug peddler.
The seized intoxicated Yaba and the drug peddler have been handed over Narcotics Control Department, sources said.
Mentionable that on June 20 last, an engine boat was also seized at fishery ghat in Karnaphuli river along with 30 thousand pieces of yaba.
