Police of Wazirpur police station under Barisal district on early Saturday arrested one accused after a college student succumbed to his injuries over playing cricket.
Golam Sarwar, officer in charge of Wazirpur PS, said Nayon Biswas,son of Narayan Biswas of Jolla village under this police station was arrested as an accused of the murder case lodged by Anil Chandra Haldar of Baherhut on Friday night.
In the case the complainant alleged that the accused hit on head of his son Sujon Chandra Haldar, 17, HSC student of Dhamura College of the area on Thursday noon over a dispute about playing cricket.
Sujon was immediately rushed to Barisal SBMCH and then to DMCH after his condition deteriorated.
Sujon died at DMCH from head injury on Friday morning after returning with his dead body the murder case was lodged on early Saturday, the OC told.
Local sources said some days ago Sujon and Anil engaged in scuffle over a cricket match. The matter was minimized by local arbitration.
However Anil, a worker of a local jewelry, remained agitated over that dispute and hit on head of Sujon while he went to near by Jalla Bazar on Thursday noon. Then injured Sujon sent to SBMCH, sources added.
