Chittagong Bureau :
One woman named Parul Akhter(23) was electrocuted with the wire of PDB line in New Market area on Monday and at east 14 persons were injured.
The incident was occurred at 5 pm on Monday. Among the injured the conditions of two is most critical, medical colleges hospital sources said. 7 injured identified as Amena Khatun, Bilquis Begum, Moni, Parul, Md. Nasir, Abdus Sattar, Jahangir and Jasimuddin and 7 others unidentifed as yet.
Injured Jasimuddin told that 15 workers were working in drain expansion work of Chittagong Development Authority beside New Market under 11000 volt PDB extension line and suddenly one transmission line torn and fell upon them and 4 saved from any injury. The injured persons are now under treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, sources said.
