One crore covid jab to be inoculated today

The health authorities have taken all necessary preparations to vaccinate one crore people with Covid-19 jabs on Saturday.
As part of achieving target of inoculating 90 pc people, the government has arranged this nationwide vaccination campaign.
Health minister Zahid Maleque said it yesterday.
“We will conduct the countrywide Covid-19 vaccination on February 26 targeting a total of one crore people.
The target people will receive the first dose of coronavirus vaccine,’ the health minister said in a press briefing at Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons, on Wednesday.
The health minister said that the government has set a target to inoculate 90 per cent people with coronavirus jabs.
“A total of 10,33,58,935 people were administered the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine with covering 86 per cent people out of total population till February 20 while 7,80,19,525 received the second dose covering 61 percent people,” Zahid Maleque said.
The health minister said that the government is launching the special February 26 vaccination drive for bringing all eligible people under vaccination coverage.
He urged the people to receive vaccines to protect themselves from the deadly virus and extend cooperation to make the countrywide special vaccination drive a success on Saturday.
The health minister said the Bangladesh secured 10th position among 65 countries of the world on Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
The DGHS sources said from now on people will be allowed to receive Covid-19 vaccines without registration or any documents from any centre across the country.
