Police arrested a 22-year-old in connection with the rape of a ten-year-old girl in Feni’s Daganbhuiyan upazila on Thursday evening.
Abdul Karim Hridoy was arrested the same night following a case filed by the victim’s mother, police said.
The statement of the 10-year-old girl was recorded under section-22 before the senior judicial court of Abdullah Khan on Friday, our correspondent reports.

The court sent the accused to jail. Hridoy took the girl to an orchard when she was returning to her house on Thursday evening and raped her, the OC said.
Hridoy fled the scene when locals came to the spot on hearing the victim’s screams, the OC added.
Returning to her house, the girl disclosed the matter to her mother, the police official said.
The mother filed a case in this regard afterward, he added. Medical examination of the victim was conducted on Friday, the OC said.
