Police yesterday arrested a man in a case filed over raping his fifth grader cousin in Bagerhat.
Earlier, the victim’s father filed a case against the accused and his mother, our source reports quoting police.
“My daughter was physically ill and was behaving unusually. When I asked her what was going on, she told me that she had been raped by my nephew several times between February 17 and March 29. When I told my sister about it, she threatened me not to tell anyone about it,” the victim’s father mentioned in the case details.
“We have arrested the accused rapist. He was produced in a court after interrogation yesterday. Police have been continuing their efforts to arrest the other accused,” said Bagerhat Model Police Officer-in-Charge KM Azizul Islam.
