One Muzaher Haoladar,70, son of late Hashem Haoladar, and a grocery shop owner allegedly beaten to death at Vuterdia village under Kedarpur union of Babuganj upazila of the district on Friday noon.
Dibakar Chandra Das, Officer- In -Charge of Babuganj Police Station, confirming the report said police recovering dead body sent to Barishal Sher E Bangla Hospital morgue for autopsy at afternoon.
Quoting local sources police said local residents Kalam Chaprashi, Faruk Chaprashi and Kader Boyati group have old rivalry over ownership of land properties with Haib Haoladar and Muzaher Haoladar.
On Friday morning Sajib Haoladar, son of Habib Haoladar, was beaten by rival Chaprashi group. Seeing that Muzaher Haoladar while tried to prevent that, he also beaten by the rival Chaprashi group.
Then Muzaher Haoladar died at the spot.
