Once popular Manda trees getting lost from Gafargaon

The name of the tree that the farmers of rural Bengal used to plant for the boundary poles and fences of the house is Parijat / Kanta Manda. This once very well known mandar tree is now unfamiliar and unknown to the new generation. This tree grows fast without any care. When spring comes, the soul opens up and shows red tuktuk flowers.
But due to the aggressive species of trees including mahogany, children and due to lack of care, this medicinal thorny Manda tree is gradually disappearing from rural Bengal. Moreover, it is a matter of great fortune to see the recession of old age as it is used to supply wood and make matches in brick kilns.
The thorn mandar is a special flowering plant of the national genus. Of (scientific name: erythrina fusca). It is a member of the Fabaceae family. Plants belonging to the genus Erythrina are collectively known as Mandar or Mother. There are several species of mandar trees in Bangladesh. The thorny mandar tree is also known as Pania mandar.
