Omi’s offices raided, 102 passports seized, 2 held

Police raided two recruiting agencies’ office owned by Tuhin Siddique Omi, one of the accused in rape attempt case filed by actress Pori Moni.
Two associates of Omi were arrested and 102 passports were seized during the raid, said DMP Uttara division deputy commissioner Saiful Islam.
The arrested are Basir and Moshiur.
Police said that they have raided Singapore Training Centre and another travel agency on early Wednesday and arrested the two. The arrested could not clarify why those passports were kept at their office.
Police were verifying whether those passports were fake or kept there for some other purpose.
A case under passport act was filed against them with Dakshin Khan police station. Omi and another businessman Nasir U Mahmood are now in police custody for interrogation after being arrest in rape attempt case filed by Pori Moni.
