The tenure of present committee of Bangladesh Film Actors Association is scheduled to be finished in February 2017.
Later within 90 days, election will be held according to its constitution.
Next year popular film actor Omar Sunny will contest for the post of President of the Association, sources said. Present General Secretary of the Association Amit Hasan yesterday confirmed the matter.
While talking in this regard Amit Hasan told this correspondent, “Omar Sunny is my close friend. If he wants to contest in the post of President in the next election I will give him support. He is very industrious. The Actors Association needs such a leader like him, I think so.”
Omar Sunny has already started thinking about his panel for the election.
While asking him in this regard he replied smiling face and said, “Everything will be happened with Allah’s wish.”
If Omar Sunny contests in the post of President either Amit Hasan or Misha Sawdagar will contest for the post of General Secretary of the Association, Sunny also mentioned.
Earlier Omar Sunny was in the executive committee of the Association for two times.
