Olympics Test Event Ruman Shana finishes 10th in ranking round of men’s recurve

Bangladesh’s premier archer Mohammad Ruman Shana finished 10th in the ranking round of men’s recurve single on the opening day of Tokyo 2020 Olympics Test Event at Yumenoshima Park Archery Field in Tokyo on Friday.
The 24-year old Bangladeshi archer scored 662 to finish at the 10th place among 67 archers and will face Sultan Duzelbayev of Kazakhstan in the round of 32 on July 16 at the same venue.
The Olympics Committee organised the “Tokyo 2020 Test Event-Ready Study Tokyo” as part of the preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games.
Ruman Shana, who was qualified for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on merit basis, is taking part in the event to improve his performance and skills ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.
Earlier, Shana left Dhaka for Tokyo on Wednesday to participate in Tokyo 2020 Olympics Test event.
The German Coach of Bangladesh Archery team Martin Frederick also joined him there on the same day.
They are expected to return home on July 19.
Shana won the first-ever bronze medal in the World Archery Championship last month at s-Hertogenbosch in Netherlands.
