Norman Gordon, the world’s oldest Test cricketer and the last survivor of the famous Timeless Test of 1939, has died. He was 103.
South Africa’s national cricket body said Gordon died early Tuesday at his home in Johannesburg.
Gordon, a fast bowler, played for South Africa in the game against England in Durban in March 1939 that lasted 10 days before both teams agreed to call it a draw so the English could catch a ship back home.
