Police operating a drive arrested Shahid Sardar, 56, father of three children, on early Sunday from Chandshi village of Gournadi upazila and sent him to jail after producing before the court.
Mahbubur Rahman, officer in charge (investigation) of Gournadi police station, acknowledging the facts said, mother of the victim on early Sunday lodging a case against Shahid Sardar and his nephew Nahian Sardar, eighth grade student of local school, alleged that Shahid on July 30, and his nephew on November 30 violated her daughter a fourth grade student of local primary school.
In the case it was alleged that Shahid, son of late Syed Ali Sardar, violated her daughter in absence of the day labourer parents in home on July 30, 2019 amid heavy downpour.
Later the matter was placed before the social elites and they holding an arbitration session fined rapist Shahidul only Tk 5 thousand.
