An old man named Mozaffar Hossain (70) of village Brahminrakdia under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district died due to biting of bees in the village on Wednesday.
It is learnt from the locals that on the day some wicked fellows pelted a honeycomb hanging with a tree with brickbats. As a result, bees came out from the honeycomb in flocks. At that time the ill-fated old man was passing from the area.
The flocks of bees attacked the man and bite him severely.
As a result, the man cried out for help, lost his sense and fell on the road. On hearing his crying a number of villagers rushed to the spot, recovered the man and admitted him to Fakirhat Upazila Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
