Old DOHS on Saturday registered their first victory in the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL), crushing Partex Sporting Club by 10 wickets through DLS system in a rain-affected match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Being sent to bat first, Partex were restricted to 77-4 in the game reduced to 15-over. DOHS however gunned down the target in 11.3 overs, making 78-0.
Rakin Ahmed led the charge with 36 ball-43, hitting six fours while Anisul Islam Emon made run-a-ball 33, with two fours and one six.
Rakibul Hasan claimed 2-8 in three overs to stifle Partex innings after they came to bat. The highest 18-run came from skipper Tasamul Haque’s willow while Nazmul Hossain Milon, Dhiman Ghosh and opener Abbas Musa scored identical 17 runs.
DOHS’s first game against Legends of Rupganj was washed out due to rain before they conceded 22-run loss to Abahani.
Partex earlier lost their firsts two matches to Abahani and Mohammedan.
