To pay tribute to her father legendary film actor Bulbul Ahmed, Oindrila will render several popular songs of Bangla movies today. She will perform at a programme titled Mohanayok-ke Shroddhanjoli at a hotel in the city’s Gulshan area at 5:30pm. In the programme, wife of Bulbul Ahmed, Daisy Ahmed,
among others, will be present.
In the programme, Oindrila will render popular songs of Bulbul Ahmed’s acted movies. These are: Duksho bhalobeshey prem-er khela kheltey hoi and Jonmo thekey jolchhhi maago from Amzad
Hossain’s movie Jonmo Thekey Jolchhi, Shotojonom-er swapno tumi aamar jiboney eley from late Bulbul Ahmed’s directed movie Rajlaxmi Srikanto, Je kotha nirobey bhasha khonjey from Chashi Nazrul Islam’s movie Bhalo Manush, Abar dujon-e dekha holo from late Abdullah Al Mamun’s movie Dui Jibon, and Jodi bou sajogo from Hafizuddin’s directed movie Wada.
While talking about to perform in the show Oindrila told this correspondent,
“I shall try to render several popular songs of those movies where my father acted. To pay tribute to him, I will
present the songs for the audience.
I have planned to perform this programme on father’s birthday. Due to lack of schedule I couldn’t manage the time.”
It may be mentioned that during her childhood Oindrila has been engaged with rendering song. When she was a
student of Class IV she first lent her vocal for a playback track for Bulbul Ahmed’s directed a movie titled Gorom Hawa. Later under her father’s direction Oindrila gave her vocal for the title
songs of many package dramas.
