Two oil-laden tankers of a running train fell into a canal when a railway bridge caved in on Chittagong-Dohazari at Benguira in Boalkhali upazila on Friday afternoon.
According to Officer-in-Charge of Boalkhali Police Station Shamsul the train with eight oil tankers was heading towards Dohazari for supplying furnace oil to 100-mega watt peaking power plant.
Talking to The New Nation on Friday, Railways Minister Md Mujibul Haque said General Manager of the East Rail Mozammel Haque along with other officials already visited the spot and started work for salvaging the sunken oil tankers.
