Bangladesh Naval forces detained a local oil lighterage vessel named OT New Shah Amanat at outer berth of the port yesterday morning. Naval sources said the Shah Amanat lighterage oil tanker for alleged pilferage of fuel from a foreign oil tanker took berth at out berth .
Naval commander Jasimuddin told that OT New Shah Amanat loaded with fuel of 50 thousand liters from a foreign oil tanker on September 30 last but after measuring the loaded fuel it was found that the literage vessel procured 60 thousand fuel from the said foreign oil tanker through unfairmeans.
Naval commander Md. Alam detained the literage oil tanker from the outer berth for excess loading of fuel by 10 thousand liters than the schedule load, sources said.
