No more voterless polls: Oikyafront formed to join race: Dr. Kamal

Jatiya Oikyafront Convener and Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain on Wednesday said, the government is drooping on the uncertainty for our decision to take part in election.
He said, the government thought there would be another January 5 type voter less election to retain power. But it would not happen, because Jatiya Oikyafront is in the race.
Dr Kamal Hossain urged all, including the media, to remain alert about any move to jeopardize an impartial and credible election
“If you see any irregularity with police, report it. This responsibility of you (the media) is very important and crucial on the election day,” he said. Dr Kamal told these to the journalist during the inauguration of the new office of Jatiya Oikyafront.  
The eminent jurist said, the manifesto of the BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront would be alike. It may be announced on December 8. Dr Kamal Hossain again renewed his call to the people to guard the polling stations, so that the election to be held on December 30 cannot be rigged.
He said, “As the owner of the state, people must guard the polling stations to ensure holding of the polls in a credible manner. Dr Kamal urged the countrymen to go to the polling stations in the morning on the Election Day and make sure that all cast their votes without any hindrance.
Dr Kamal said, the upcoming national election is very important for the restoration of people’s ownership of the country. “People are deprived of their ownership of the country. People must be vigilant to ensure a fair election.
“People, the country’s real authority, have now no control over the administration. That’s why unfit people become MPs. We’ve long been waiting to get rid of it and an opportunity has come to restore people’s ownership through the election, he said.
“If people do their duties peacefully on December 30, then it will be a historical day in Bangladesh History,” he added.
