Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon said the election manifesto of Oikiyafront is wired and baseless. Criticising the election manifesto of Oikiyafront, Menon said, “They are making false pledges to the people just to win the election anyhow…Actually their manifesto was weird and baseless.”
Menon, also the President of Worker’s Party said this on Tuesday while speaking as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting of teachers, employees and workers of Dhaka
University (DU). Awami League (AL) Ward no 21 unit organised the meeting, said a press release.
“They have mentioned about the trial of war criminals in their manifesto, but there is nothing about the trial at the manifesto of BNP…Moreover they have confused the young people as they said there will be no age limit for government job,” he said.
There are no people of Oikiyafront at field level, but their leaders are daydreaming, he said, adding, “The hotchpotch unity will be fall after the victory of AL in the next election.”
AL ward-21 unit President Advocate MA Hamid presided over the programme while Jahangirnagar University former Vice-Chancellor Dr M Anwar Hossain, Professor of DU Mejbah Kamal, Dhaka South AL General Secretary Shah-e-Alam Murad, Vice-President Abul Bashar and Joint General Secretary Dilip Ray, among others, spoke on the occasion.
