A 15-member executive committee of Patuakhali Journalists Forum (PJF), Dhaka, was formed with senior journalist Hasan Arefin as president and senior reporter of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Md Sahidul Islam Rana as general secretary.
PJF Election Commissioner Dr S M A Zafor yesterday declared the two-year committee for the 2016-17 in its Biennial General Meeting and also Annual Picnic-2015 at Tamana World Family Park at Mirpur in the capital.
Omar Faruk, Secretary General of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), Saban Mahmud former general secretary of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ), former DUJ general secretary Abu Zafor Surya and joint-secretary of Relief and Disaster Management Md Shamsur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
The other office-bearers of PJF are: Vice-President ASM Jakir Hossain of Nuton Samay, joint-general secretary Harolal Roy of Manab Kantha, treasurer Saikhul Islam Ujjal of RTV, organizing secretary Ruhul Amin Rasel of the Daily Bangladesh Protidin, office secretary Bayezid Munsi of the Daily Bhorer Dak, sports and cultural secretary Mojibur Rahman of the Kalbela, welfare and training secretary Aminul Islam of ATN News, executive members – Akon Abdul Mannan of the Daily Inqilab, Badrul Alam Nabil of Bangladesh Television, Parves Reza of Channel-71, Shamsun Nahar Binu of Bangladesh Television and Gazi Abdul Hadi of the Daily Ittefaq.
