The world is by all perceivable measures compelled to thinking humanity and thinking the power that has something to do with the calamity caused by the creepy contagious Corona. The insidious infection of this tiny little virus have taken its name Covid-19 seems to shatter the world with unprecedented shock and fear from the growing scourges of menacing deaths, unabated miseries of life in restriction and isolation and the scary apprehensions on the spread through contagion against the backdrop of the lack of conceivable science and remedy !
There seems to have no borders of the world that can resist the penetration of the tiny little protein particle which has the ominous potential of causing indiscriminate deaths to humanity. The vicious virus has hold the world hostages. The world is caught aback and three questions boggle the brains of the people of the world from the dumbest person to the most intelligent, the poorest person to the richest and people from the smallest state to the largest state. 1) Is it a conspiracy theory for the hegemony of the world? 2) Is it the vagaries of the nature? 3) Is the scourge of the vicious virus is the persecution for the humanity for our transgressions and corruptions conducive to the test and tribulation for the humanity to warn, remind and rectify that the humans need to put restraints on their excesses and violations of the code ordained by the Almighty God and we the humans have no recourse without the mercy of the power of the God?
People of all faiths and beliefs are riddled by a myriad of myth and the fuss of apprehensions, assumptions, thesis, hypotheses and analyses with no light on the remedy. This virulent virus has impacted the world of the billions to unite to defeat the invisible enemy as a single state to save the humanity in its fight with the micro-organism like pernicious particle that has no power to kill by itself but needs a host of living cell to infect and cause death and disaster. The impact of this malevolent virus seems to threaten the world with apparently uncontrollable spread and the fatality of which seems irresistible, the escalation seems irreversible and the magnitude of the scourge deemed unfathomable at the rapid transformation from endemic to pandemic!
The first question leads to a reality of complex dynamics of facts and fictions, perplexing politics and confounding conspiracy theories until a remedy is achieved by scientific intervention while science is baffled by the mutant nature of the virus and scientists are grappling in the labyrinthine path of discovery. The second question relates to the law of the nature that indicates the existence of an invisible power that sets the rules of the vagaries beyond our comprehension. The third question is purely of theological significance which is deemed to impinge the thoughts and beliefs of the human in search of the succour from the divine power!
The world is experiencing a horrific reality of apparently irreversible phenomena of day-to-day increase of a trend of 6% cases of infection and increased death toll at the rate of 10-14 % on an ominous recent average of benchmark of 5000 deaths occurrence in a day conducive to growing fear of falling victim to the maleficent virus. No scientist, no doctor, no country could invent any vaccine to fight the virus and no treatment to guarantee any cure yet. Thus the world is in quandary as scientists are bogged down in the quagmire of search for the veracity of the virus in order to invent the vaccine!
The insidious virus is infecting the human through ominously invisible contagion difficult to contain despite the quarantine measures and clinical cares. The humans have no choice but seek recourse to the mercy of the ultimate power to bless them the immune system to defeat the malevolent virus. Thus the caveat of a cataclysmic catastrophe is looming large. The fear of a fallout is feared to be beyond redemption in the absence of any conceivable remedy within any predictable future. This fear is gripping the hearts and minds of the people to cause a deeper realization of the third question that we humans are hapless and helpless in this dire situation without the succour of the invisible mercy. The very word mercy is surely indicative of the power of divinity the power of the creator the power that has control over everything. Credibly, deep inside the hearts, irrespective of any race, religion, beliefs or ideologies, people are (except very few exceptions in denial of the divine power) in a state of surrender to the mercy of the greatest invisible power and making no pretensions in somewhat bowing to beg to the power that can save the humans from the onslaught of the tiny little invisibly irresistible pernicious particle! The theological perspective would emphasize that when reasons and science fail, we human beings are naturally inclined to think a superior power behind the science and want to believe that there is definitely an almighty creator of the creations of the universe Who has the wisdom of the science of every little thing and beyond those exists in the universe.
The believers of the books of the revelations will plausibly reinforce their belief in the creator believed to have the absolute power over the calamity and who has the mercy to show the signs of science to unravel the mystery of the virus to save the humanity. On the other hand among the rest of the people in denial of such super power some may tend to submit to the fear to make a deal with the divinity to seek the mercy of the God and some will continue to be conceited to deny the existence of any God as the humans have been encountering the vagaries of the nature and were able to deal with the vicissitudes of life to overcome the calamities at an auspicious point of every escalation of the calamities those invaded the earth from time immemorial.
The fact of the faiths in believing and not believing in the power, will continue to prevail the world and the act of the power will equally haunt the world for someone to realize the existence of the mighty power as God being religious or for someone to be conceited with power, politics, science and technology not taking into serious cognizance of the act of God being somewhat religious and, someone in the dilemma of choosing the Gods of their choice being agnostic or someone believing in nothing being atheist. Thus in the theological perspective, the believer’s would urge the humanity to the effect that it’s time to take lessons from the calamity, it’s time to submit to the Almighty God with due repentance and remorse and it’s time to pray for God’s mercy and forgiveness for the transgressions and corruptions perpetrated by the humans that caused His wrath. It’s time to repent to rectify our sins, violations and deviations from the guidance of God for His pardon and mercy!
The onus of understanding, repentance and rectification is on every individual and the punishment is collective for the world. Let the people of the world be enlightened to repent for their sins and revert to the power of divinity the One and only God to whom we worship and to whom we will return!
