Occupied forest land recovered in Gazipur

Forest officials have recovered 25 per cent forest land inside the boundary wall of a garment factory called BG Collection in Baniyarchala area of Gazipur’s Sadar Upazila Bhawalgarh Union on Sunday.
The forest land worth about Tk 2 crore was recovered at that time. Bhawal Range Officer Md. Masud Rana conducted the operation from on Sunday afternoon to evening under the direction of the Divisional Forest Officer of Dhaka Wildlife Natural Conservation Department.
After the rescue, saplings have been planted in that forest land for Social Forestry.According to Forest Department sources, the owner of a factory called BG Collection in Baniyarchala area under Bhawal Range in Gazipur had been occupying 25 per cent of government land of Forest Department inside the wall for a long time. Upon receiving the news, the forest officials recovered 25 percent government land of the forest department inside the border wall. Bhawal Range Officer Md. Masud Rana conducted the operation on the instructions of the Divisional Forest Officer of Dhaka Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Department.
