Barisal Correspondent :Mamataz Begum, mother of eminent artist Kazi Mozammel Hossain, Journalist Kazi Maqbul Hossain, cultural activists Kazi Selina, died on Wednesday night at her residence in Kawnia Branch Road of the city.She was 92 and suffering from old complications and other diseases.Umme Kulsum left 3 sons, 2 daughters and a lot of relatives.She was laid to rest at Muslim Gorosthan after Namaj E Janaja following Zohr prayer on Thursday afternoon.Local journalists, political leaders and people from different sections rushed to the house of Mamataz Begum hearing her death news and attended her Janaja and burial function.Barisal Reporters Unity, Press Club, Television Media Journalist Association separately expressed deep condolence at the demise of Mamataz Begum by issuing condolence statements.
