Freedom fighter M A Sattar Khan, Shariatpur district unit Awami League Vice-President and district unite commander of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad, passed away on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital. He was 68.
Sattar is survived by wife, two daughters and a host of friends, relatives, well wishers and admirers.
Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of M A Sattar Khan.
In a message of condolence, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
