Tofazzal Hossain Sarkar, former lawmaker of Gaibandha-3 constituency and organizer of the War of Liberation, died on Wednesday evening at the age of 74.
Tofazzal, also the ex-president of Palashbari upazila unit of Awami League, breathed his last at his own residence at ‘Professor Para’ under Nuniagari area at Palashbari upazila.
He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Apart from local lawmaker Umme Kulsum Smrity, President of district Awami League Advocate Syed Shams-Ul-Alam Hiru, general secretary Abu Bakar Siddique, President of upazila Awami League Abu Bakar Prodhan, Vice- President and also upazila Chairman Mokshed Chowdhury Bidyut have expressed their profound shocked at the death of Tofazzal Hossain Sarkar.
They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
