Kazi Majiruddin, former Director of the Department of Agriculture Marketing, died of old-age complications at a city hospital on Tuesday. He was 85.
He left behind one son, two daughters and a host of relatives, admirers and well-wishers to mourn his death. Majiruddin was buried at Banani graveyard after Zohr Prayers.
Majiruddin did his masters in commerce in 1951 and joined as a lecturer in the University of Dhaka. Later, he joined government services in 1954. He worked as Member-Director of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) during the period 1977-1982.
