Parul Akhter, Bangladesh Mahila Awami League Vice-President, died early on Wednesday morning while she was undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
She was 51.
She left behind family members, relatives and well wishers to mourn her death.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Mahila Awami League leader Parul Akhter.
In a condolence message, the minster prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to her bereaved family members.
