Former Ward councilor and Awami League leader Tareq Solaiman Selim died on Monday at the age of 62.
He left behind his wife, a son, two daughters and a host number of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He died at Delta Hospital in Dhaka. He had been suffering from cancer for a long time, family sources said.
He was buried at Chotynogoli graveyard after Namaz-e-Janaja at old rail station premises in Chattogram on Tuesday.
