Shaila Chowdhury, wife of Chief Reporter of Daily Purbokone Nowsher Ali Khan, died of cancer at a hospital in Chattogram on Monday. She was 61.
Shaila Chowdhury, a former teacher at Shershah Colony Primary School left behind a son, a daughter, husband and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
She was buried at Mobarakkhill village family graveyard under Raozan upazila of the district after namaz-e-janaza.
Meanwhile, Chattogram Press Club President Ali Abbas and General Secretary (GS) Chowdhury Farid, President of Chattogram Union of Journalists (CUJ) Mohammad Ali and GS M Shamsul, among others, expressed deep shock and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
