Former President of Nalitabari upazila unit of Awami League (AL) in Sherpur district and former Nalitabari municipality mayor Abdul Halim Ukil passed away while undergoing treatment at a city hospital on Sunday night. He was 67. Abdul Halim left behind a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday expressed profound and sorrow at the death of Abdul Halim Ukil.
In a condolence message, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
