Begum Rahima Khatun w/o late Karim Bakhsh of village Baradi-Jugia near Kushtia town, breathed her last yesterday in the city’s Apollo Hospital. She was 96. She was buried in their family graveyard at home.
Rahima Khatun is the mother of Prof. Dr. Anwarul Karim, Pro-Vice -Chancellor, Northern University, Bangladesh, a noted Lalon-researcher, folklorist and litterateur.
A pious lady of great morality, Rahima Khatun, left behind a host of relatives, well-wishers and admirers to mourn her death.
Dr Anwarul and his family members have sought Doa from all for the salvation of the departed soul.
