Language veteran and freedom fighter Rofiqul Islam died on November 6 at 7:40am in the city’s United Hospital at Gulshan. He was 88.
He was buried in his family graveyard at Azimpur after janaza at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Zohr prayer on Tuesday.
He left behind one son Fazlul Kabir Sina and one daughter Nauroz Banu Gargi and three grandsons. For the salvation of his departed soul, a doa mahfil is scheduled to be held today (Friday) at the deceased’s Gulshan residence after Asr prayer.
