Rabeya Begum, mother of Roksana Yasmin Chhuti, lawmaker in a reserved seat for women in Madaripur, died of old-age complications at the NAM Flat of the parliament member in the city on Thursday. She was 82.
Rabeya Begum, wife of late Abdul Mannan Mia (Tunu), former General Secretary of the then Madaripur sub-division Awami League, left behind her three sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
She was laid to eternal rest at her family graveyard at Khoajpur village in Madaripur Sadar upazila after Namaz-e-Janaza.
