Monowar Sultana, a social worker and wife of eminent artist M A Qayyum, passed away at capital’s Ibn Sina Hospital at the wee hours on Monday. She was 73.
She had been suffering from various diseases along with stomach cancer for the last six months. She left behind husband, four daughters, one son and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn her death.
Her Namaz-e-Zanaza was held yesterday after Asr prayer at the premise of Old Court Zam-e-Mosque. Later she laid to rest at Baag-e-Jannat grave-yard at Sholakia.
